Samsung Galaxy S21 series to be launched

Samsung is all set to announce its flagship Galaxy S21 series on January 14. The company has confirmed that the Galaxy Unpacked event will be held next week. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and the premium Galaxy S21 Ultra at the event. The invite shared by Samsung says ‘Welcome to the Everyday Epic’ and features an image of the rear camera module. While it hasn’t been confirmed, the company is also likely to announce the Galaxy Buds Pro at the event.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to feature S Pen support, making it the first S-series device to do so. The S Pen will reportedly be available as an optional accessory, and the company will sell cases with the S Pen dock.

While there has been no information about the Indian pricing of the upcoming Galaxy S21 series, details of its global pricing has been leaked. The Galaxy S21 is expected to be priced at 849 Euros (₹75,880 approx.), the S21 Plus is expected to be priced at 1049 Euros (₹93,750 approx.) and the Galaxy S21 Ultra is expected to be priced at 1399 Euros (₹1, 25,035 approx.).

The Galaxy S21 is expected to be available in Violet, Gray, White, and Pink color options. The S21 is expected to be available in Violet, Silver and Black color options, while the S21 Ultra is likely to be available in Silver and Black color options.

Samsung Galaxy S21, S21 Plus, and S21 Ultra are expected to look similar in terms of design. All three devices are widely believed to come with a center-aligned hole-punch display and a unique rear camera module that bleeds into the corners. The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra will be the most specced out model of the lot and is also expected to support the S Pen.

Based on what we know s far, Samsung Galaxy S21 specifications will include the all-new Exynos 2100 chipset for most countries, including India. The Snapdragon 888-powered Galaxy S21 will launch in markets like the US. The devices should come with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB internal storage. The vanilla Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 Plus are rumoured to offer 6.2-inch and 6.7-inch displays, respectively, with up to 120Hz refresh rate. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S21 Ultra will sport a 6.8-inch WQHD+ curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

As the reporter suggests, cameras will be a major focus with the Galaxy S21 series. Both the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus are expected to offer triple cameras that include a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP wide-angle lens, and a 64MP telephoto lens. The Galaxy S21 Ultra, on the other hand, is expected to offer a quad-camera system that includes a 108MP primary camera.
