Rolls-Royce and Infosys form strategic partnership for civil aerospace business

Infosys, a global leader in next-generation digital services and consulting, today announced that it has been selected by Rolls-Royce Plc UK, a world leader in engines and propulsion systems, as one of the strategic long-term partners to deliver digital and engineering services.

As part of this engagement, Infosys will leverage its industry-leading turbo machinery and propulsion practice to offer Rolls-Royce best-in-class, end-to-end complex engineering and digital solutions to meet its customers’ increasing needs for sustainable energy. Infosys has extensive experience delivering complex programs in aero and land based gas turbines spanning component development, next-generation manufacturing technologies, service engineering, support, testing and validation services.

Rolls-Royce and Infosys signed a strategic partnership for sourcing engineering and R&D Services for Rolls-Royce’s Civil Aerospace business. As part of the overall partnership, Rolls-Royce will transition a significant part of its engineering centre capabilities for Civil Aerospace in Bengaluru to Infosys.

Leveraging its expertise in core engineering services, digital transformation capabilities, and Rolls-Royce product knowledge acquired through the partnership, Infosys will provide a full range of high-end engineering and R&D services integrated with advanced digital service to Rolls-Royce.

Rolls-Royce has customers in more than 150 countries, comprising more than 400 airlines and leasing customers, 160 armed forces, 4,000 marine customers including 70 navies, and more than 5,000 power and nuclear customers.
